- The Food and Drink Heroes Awards, originally established due to the overwhelming number of applicants to the Great British Entrepreneur Awards with their own inspiring food and drink success stories, have been supporting, broadcasting, and awarding talented entrepreneurs in the industry.
- Despite branching off, the Food and Drink Heroes Awards still have the Great British Entrepreneur Awards values at heart. Providing not just a ceremonial celebration of talented up and comers, but a supportive community with their best interests in mind that accompanies a variety of benefits for all who apply.
- Now with three exciting new categories: Street Food Entrepreneur of the Year, Producer of the Year, and Small Business Supporter of the Year, there are even more opportunities to showcase your talent and more importantly, your business.
- It’s new Small Business Supporter of the Year category will go to a large business that provides industry-leading support to the up-and-coming brands in the food and drink industry.
- The Food and Drink Heroes Awards boast a long list of talent amongst previous winners, including Biscuiteers, Montezuma’s, Craft Gin Club, allplants, and a large variety of other inspiring individuals in the industry.
- With the worst of the pandemic hopefully over, the awards team is expecting to see an increase in applicants across all categories, with talented entrepreneurs bouncing back after such a debilitating hit to the food and drink industry.
- Many individuals are expected to have a story to tell after such a difficult time and applying for the awards might be one of many steps to boost their business back up to pre-pandemic levels or showcase their astonishing achievements during that time, with applications closing on 14th January 2022.
- The awards are free to enter and applicants will be individually reviewed, eventually a select few being shortlisted to showcase some of the most inspiring and talented individuals and brands that applied.
- Once shortlisted, a panel of some of Britain’s most successful food and drink industry entrepreneurs and experts will review the applications. Some impressive additions to the judging panel include Mark Cumming, Head of FMCG UK&I of Costa Coffee, founder of The Lakes Distillery Co plc, Nigel John Mills, and Marketing Manager of the Coca-Cola Group, Agnieszka Jastrzębska alongside many more industry gurus
